Salary Range: $35,000.00 To $42,000.00 Annually
The shipping clerk position is responsible for the accurate preparation of product for prompt shipment, visual inspection to customer specifications and hand pack into prescribed cartons. Maintain quality safety standards, keeping records and maintaining workstation and supplies.
Responsibilities- Pull items, supplies, and components for shipments.
- Prepare stock for future releases and/or Outside Service operations.
- Prepare packers for open orders and shipments.
- Maintain adequate amount of supplies in stock and notify supervisor when low.
- Communicate with all levels of management and departments including inventory, receiving, inspection, secondary, and customer service about the status of shipments.
- Ensure facility is accessible and safe for employees, customers, and visitors by ensuring work area is clean and orderly, stock is well maintained, and dock is free of debris in restricted areas and in an orderly arrangement.
- Perform other work-related activities as assigned by the heads of departments or management.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving or warehouse procedures preferred.
- Ability to read and write, and the basic mathematical ability needed to count and take inventory.
- Ability to work self directed in a multi-tasked environment.
- Proficient utilizing a computer and strong keyboarding skills.
- Requires visual acuity (corrected) to read directions and to visually inspect precision machined parts.
- Manual dexterity required to work with precision products.
- Detail oriented self starter with strong organizational, communication and follow up skills.
- Good attendance and performance work history.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
- Physical ability to perform work requiring continuous standing, bending, twisting, and stooping the entire shift.
- Physical strength to lift and carry up to 50lbs. frequently throughout the day.
