The NC Department of Adult Correction is one of the largest state agencies with more than 14,000 employees. It is responsible for safeguarding and preserving lives and property through prevention, protection, and preparation as well as the care, custody, and supervision of all adults sentenced for violating North Carolina laws. Title:
Administrative Associate II (S) - Position Number:
- Grade: NC02
- Salary Range: $31,200 - $49,340
This position is located at Maury Correctional Institution in Greene County, NC. This position has responsibility for a variety of general duties, correspondence management, record keeping, filing, database management and telephone responsibilities.
Responsibilities- Provide typing and disseminate information throughout the facility.
- Handle telephone calls including contact from other staff and other sections of the Department of Adult Correction locations, contact with other agencies and occasional contact from businesses such as vendors and service providers.
- Schedule appointments, operate switchboard, provide information and follow up on inquiries.
- Perform usage orders, inventories, reconciliation of P Cards, Site Security and other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Work independently or in combination with other office support or employees.
- High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and one year of administrative experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

EmploymentThis is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with state benefits.
Work schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
