Position: Director of Client Experience and Business Development

Our team is deeply involved in the rental housing industry, holding leadership positions on various committees and boards at the local, state, and national level. Who are we looking for?

The role of Director of Client Experience and Business Development will foster and develop strong relationships with both existing and prospective clients to enhance client satisfaction and loyalty, while also integrating business development responsibilities to support our growth and expand market presence. You will have exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record in relationship management and business development.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Client Relationship Management:
  • Manage further development and maintenance of relationships with existing clients to understand their needs and facilitate ongoing client satisfaction.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, addressing inquiries and resolving client concerns promptly.
  • Conduct regular client feedback sessions and surveys to gauge satisfaction and improve services.
  • Manage intake of all new clients and matters.
  • Identify new business opportunities with existing clients.
  • Assist with resolution of client challenges.
2. Business Development:
  • Collaborate with the marketing team and the legal division to develop and execute business development strategies that target new clients and markets.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including networking, referrals, and presentations.
  • Prepare and deliver proposals and pitches to prospective clients.
  • Work with the marketing department to design and execute client engagement initiatives, including seminars, webinars, and events.
  • Contribute to the development of marketing materials and campaigns to enhance the firm’s visibility and reputation.
  • Lead and mentor the client relations/experience team, providing guidance and support in client interaction and business development efforts.
  • Foster a collaborative environment that emphasizes continuous improvement and innovative client service strategies.
  • Sit on our Executive Committee.
5. Reporting and Analysis:
  • Monitor and analyze industry trends, client feedback, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Prepare regular reports on client relations and business development activities for senior management.
Qualifications:
  • • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • • Minimum of 3 years of experience in client relations and business development, ideally within a law firm or professional services environment.
  • • Strong understanding of legal services and market dynamics.
  • • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • • Proven ability to develop strategic relationships and drive business growth.
  • • At least 1 year of management experience is preferred.
Skills:
  • • Strategic thinker with a client‑centric mindset.
  • • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
