Toyota’s North Carolina Battery Plant Manufacturing Department seeks a passionate and highly motivated Center Of Excellence (COE) Group Leader to support learning operations and workforce development for the Skills-Based Advancement (SBA) program. The COE Group Leader supports the Center of Excellence Manager by overseeing workforce planning, SBA scheduling, learning systems, training, and reporting for 2,000+ team members across multiple shifts. The role coordinates with team members, instructors, assessors, Group Leaders, and management to execute SBA training and assessments, resolve system and registration issues, and develop automated reporting solutions using Power BI, Power Query, and VBA.

The position also leads process improvement initiatives, supports employee development and training needs, and tracks post-training performance and effectiveness. This position will need flexible hours to support day and night shift training and scheduling operations.

• Manage SBA training and assessment schedules for 600+ team members weekly across multiple shifts
• Coordinate instructors, assessors, rooms, registrations, and training records
• Develop workforce planning, reporting, and automation using Power BI, Power Query, VBA, and Excel
• Monitor training progress, capacity, utilization, and workforce readiness
• Resolve LMS, data, scheduling, and transcript issues through root-cause analysis
• Drive process improvements and system enhancements across SBA operations
• Partner with team members and leadership to support successful SBA execution

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
• Experience in workforce planning, training, scheduling, and multi-shift operations
• Strong Power BI, Power Query, Excel, and VBA skills
• Strong communication, visualization, and technical problem-solving abilities
• Ability to lead strategically and collaborate cross-functionally
• Strong organization, mentoring, and employee-development skills
• Working knowledge of Skills Based Assessment (SBA) processes or Workforce Planning
• Added bonus if you have TBP Panel completion Manufacturing experience
• Kaizen/continuous improvement experience
