Construction Materials Testing Technician

Hourly hiring range: $20.00 to $25.00 (based on years of experience and certifications)

Falcon is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Technician for our Cary, NC Testing and Inspections group. The ideal candidate will have experience in the construction industry. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, materials testing, inspections, and daily field reporting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Preferred certifications: NCDOT and American Concrete Institute (ACI) Field Technician Level I, Nuclear Gauge User Certification, NICET Level 1 – Soils, NICET Level 1 – Concrete and NICET Level 1 – Asphalt preferred. (ICC Reinforced Concrete & Structural Masonry-not required will train)
• Have a basic understanding of plans/blueprints.
• Be able to lift equipment up to 80 lbs.
• Be able to perform physical activities required of the testing procedures including squatting, bending, lifting, climbing, and traversing difficult terrain.
• Have a willingness to perform work after regular business hours, on weekends, and sometimes on holidays when necessary.
• Driver’s license required.
• Hourly rate is based on experience.
• Will train the right candidate (company will pay for all certifications).
