The Examiner I – Driver License position requires a strong customer-first mindset, ensuring every transaction delivers timely, respectful, and accurate service while identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery and streamline office operations. This includes anticipating customer needs, recognizing and addressing concerns before they escalate, providing clear guidance to help customers navigate the licensing process, and ensuring North Carolinians receive accurate and timely assistance.

Examiner I employees will maintain compliance with all North Carolina laws and will interpret regulations as well as Division policies while collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders to maintain consistency and alignment across regions. The candidate selected for this position will maintain professionalism in all customer interactions and uphold high service standards, which is essential to improving customer satisfaction and strengthening the Division’s reputation statewide.

The role requires a customer-first mindset, ensuring that every transaction delivers timely, respectful, and accurate service. This includes anticipating customer needs, recognizing and responding to customer concerns before they escalate, and the ability to provide clear guidance to help customers navigate the licensing process.
