Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Senior Healthcare Project Architect to lead the planning, design, and technical execution of complex healthcare projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience delivering healthcare facilities, a strong understanding of healthcare regulations and design standards, and a proven ability to guide teams through all phases of project development.

This role requires a strategic thinker who can balance design quality, technical coordination, client expectations, and project delivery while fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

What You'll Do
Lead architectural teams through all project phases, providing direction, oversight, and technical leadership to ensure successful outcomes.
Collaborate with healthcare clients, consultants, and stakeholders to understand operational objectives, patient care workflows, space programming requirements, and facility needs.
Develop architectural concepts and translate design intent into comprehensive construction documents and technical drawings.
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, integrating structural, mechanical, electrical, and other engineering systems into cohesive project solutions.
Ensure projects comply with applicable healthcare regulations, building codes, accreditation standards, and industry best practices.
Manage design documentation, specifications, quality control reviews, and technical deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
Conduct site assessments, field observations, and documentation of existing conditions to support renovation and expansion projects.
Facilitate project meetings, maintain clear communication among team members and stakeholders, and document key decisions.
Oversee project schedules, resource planning, and discipline-specific work plans to support efficient project delivery.
Provide technical mentorship, coaching, and professional development guidance to architects, designers, and emerging professionals.
Collaborate closely with contractors, consultants, and project teams during construction administration to help ensure design intent is successfully implemented.
What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

Professional degree in Architecture.
Active Architectural License required.
Minimum 15 years of architectural experience, including significant healthcare project experience.
Demonstrated expertise in healthcare facility planning, design, and project delivery.
Strong knowledge of healthcare codes, regulatory requirements, life safety standards, and building systems.
Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and team-building skills.
Ability to travel periodically to project sites and client locations as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

NCARB Certification.
LEED Accreditation or similar sustainability-related credential.
Experience leading large-scale healthcare renovations, medical office buildings, outpatient facilities, hospitals, or specialty care environments.
