Company BackgroundOur client is a high-growth, premier professional landscaping company based in Highlands, North Carolina, serving the Highlands-Cashiers area for nearly 20 years. They offer a comprehensive range of services including landscape design, installation, maintenance, irrigation systems, water features, hardscapes, lighting, and turf and ornamental care; all delivered with a commitment to efficiency, safety, and environmental sensitivity.
The PositionThe Landscape Architect will play a key creative and technical role within the organization, responsible for developing innovative and sustainable landscape designs for commercial and residential clients across the Highlands-Cashiers area.
Primary responsibilities include:- Develop detailed landscape design plans, including planting plans, grading layouts, hardscape elements, water features, lighting, and irrigation systems tailored to client needs and site conditions
- Collaborate with clients, architects, and contractors throughout the design process to ensure alignment with project goals, timelines, and budgets
- Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to inform design decisions, considering environmental sensitivity, soil conditions, and local vegetation
- Oversee design implementation in the field, coordinating with installation and maintenance teams to ensure designs are executed to specification and quality standards
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study and/or relevant training or certifications as a Landscape Designer / Architect
- A clear understanding of different aspects of landscaping, turf maintenance, plant materials, and sitework
- Computer skills; CAD experience a plus!
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with clients and other key stakeholders
This position is based in Highlands, North Carolina. Relocation assistance may be available for top candidates.
