• Earn the opportunity to teach people to fly and to learn to fly.
• Complete rigorous training covering teaching skills, personal piloting, and endurance on sand dunes.
• Carry a 55‑lb glider 50 times and run down the dune while instructing.
• Paid instruction at Jockey’s Ridge State Park during the season.
• Option to attend US Hang Gliding Association Instructor Certification Program.
• Existing instructors may advance to Lead Instructor roles.

• Teach hang gliding students on the dunes.
• Maintain safety and instruction quality during long workdays.
• Participate in optional training clinics and skills development.
• Carry glider and equipment as required.

• Active athletic condition capable of carrying glider, running sand dunes, and handling hot, humid weather.
• Full‑time commitment during the summer.
• Desire to learn and grow as a pilot and instructor.
