Position SummaryThe Ohio State University College of Dentistry seeks candidates for a full-time, clinical track faculty position at the rank of Associate or Full Professor. This position entails didactic teaching of predoctoral and postdoctoral students, clinical teaching of predoctoral students and oral pathology residents, and participation in the College’s dental faculty practice, including the oral biopsy service and clinical consultations. Visa sponsorship is available for qualified candidates.
Responsibilities- Promote evidence-based teaching skills in an education setting, proficiency in oral pathology and a strong track record of scholarly activity.
- Successful participation in and directorship of predoctoral and residency level courses, including preparation and distribution of course materials, course scheduling, creation of course assessments and managing course grades.
- Provide interdisciplinary mentoring to students.
- Demonstrate collaboration between college divisions.
- Participate in college, university, local, state or national committees; full professors lead leadership positions at university or national level committees.
- Membership in professional organizations and contributions to professional activities outside of the university.
- Continued engagement in scholarly activity.
- Provide excellent patient care both in the clinic and at the microscope.
- Success at obtaining extramural funding (tenure track position only).

Required: A valid DDS/DMD or equivalent, eligibility for a regular or limited teaching license in the state of Ohio, and successful completion of residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology from a CODA-accredited training program. Certification by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology. Candidates with evidence of research or scholarly activity are encouraged to apply.
Desired: Post‑graduate dental education or an advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in an area related to pathology. Eligibility for a New York license.
