Music Teacher

Music & Arts seeks a passionate Music Teacher to provide private and small group lessons in our retail store. You will teach beginner to intermediate students on band or orchestra instruments, develop individualized lesson plans, track progress, and prepare students for school performances and auditions. Collaborate with sales and repair staff to support instrument rental, purchase, and maintenance needs. Ideal candidates have strong musicianship, prior teaching or tutoring experience, and a commitment to student success and community music education in a friendly, service oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide private and small-group music lessons to beginner and intermediate students
• Develop individualized lesson plans and learning goals
• Assess student progress and communicate with parents or guardians
• Prepare students for school performances, auditions, and recitals
• Collaborate with sales staff on instrument rentals, purchases, and accessories
• Coordinate with repair technicians to support instrument maintenance needs
• Maintain accurate schedules, attendance, and lesson records
• Promote a positive, inclusive, and student-focused learning environment
