Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Product Line Systems & Support Engineer. This is a full‑time, onsite position based at our Arden, NC location. It requires a weekly schedule of Monday‑Friday daylight hours.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $86 000 – $126 000, depending on candidate skills, experience, and organizational considerations.
What You’ll DoThe COE Systems & Support Engineer will be responsible for an assigned product line, driving improvements for COE/Customer Order Design teams through automation tools, providing continuous learning on software tool usage, training new hires, and escalating ticket support for COE/COD issues.
Essential Functions- Deploy and support Front End Engineering systems for the assigned product line.
- Support development of product‑line‑specific training documentation for engineering software tools and processes.
- Provide onsite first‑point escalation support for systems issues, determining root cause, urgency, and communicating with stakeholders as needed.
- Prioritize MI and DA system issue tickets through individual contribution and coordination with other Eaton resources.
- Maintain familiarity with COE and COD processes for the assigned product line, including application/engineering decisions, product offerings, and design standards.
- Collect requests for system enhancements and communicate them to the appropriate development manager.
- Support continuous testing for system enhancements and bug fixes as they are deployed.
- Understand MI parts picking logic to troubleshoot parts‑picking errors and scope updates with product‑line enhancements.
- Be available for after‑hours and weekend support.
- Participate in product‑line meetings on Front End Systems projects and continuous improvement activities, driving best practices and knowledge sharing across engineering, design, and systems teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science from an accredited institution.
- Three (3) years of engineering experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future.
- No relocation benefit is offered; candidates must reside within a 70‑mile radius of Arden, NC. Active‑Duty military service members are exempt from this limitation.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
- Extensive experience with Eaton’s ETO software tools such as Bid Manager, MI Manager, Design Automation, DCMS, Plant Order Manager, Pick Work Bench, etc.
- Working knowledge of NEC, IEEE, UL, and local electric codes.
- Ability to interpret customer specifications and electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Prior experience as a COE.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient use of Eaton’s ETO software systems and AutoCAD.
