What You'll Do- Works closely with Area Managers, Region Engineers, and Geopier licensee teams to provide project specific technical guidance and direction in support of project feasibility and project bidding efforts for Geopier design build solutions
- Collaborate with Area Managers to perform engineering analyses and prepare design reviews
- Prepares or reviews engineering calculations and establishes engineering direction on projects with limited supervision
- Support Design Center review team by performing slope stability and other geotechnical analyses to prepare RAP designs
- Assist in troubleshooting construction challenges and design issues
- Review and approve Rammed Aggregate Pier (RAP) and other system designs
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations at internal and external meetings and workshops
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a geotechnical/structural engineering field
- Possess a strong understanding of soil mechanics and structural loading conditions
- Experience reading and interpreting project documents and drawings.
- Strong interpersonal skills - articulate communicator, adept in both electronic and verbal communications, professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to plan, prioritize and drive issues, tasks and deliverables from concept to closure
- Proficient level of computer skills; MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet
- Knowledge of computer systems and software, including AutoCAD, Microsoft applications, other geotechnical software including, SLIDE, SLOPE-W, Settle 3D
- BS in Civil Engineering required – MS in geotechnical engineering preferred.
- PE (Professional Engineer) License is a plus
