Position Overview

Data Center Account Technical Account Executive focused on the North America Region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize technical knowledge and industry experience to maximize the value of Cadence solutions and workflows.
  • Leverage strong relationship building and communication skills to connect with business and technology stakeholders, identify critical challenges, and gain buy‑in to drive new business.
  • Deliver compelling technical and economic presentations for engineering and business staff at all levels.
  • Qualify and assess customers’ complex technical and business challenges.
  • Lead pre‑sales campaigns: set objectives, manage cross‑functional teams, and deliver solutions in collaboration with Cadence technical staff and customers.
  • Foster and grow customer relationships with key stakeholders, influencers, and decision makers at all levels of the customer organization.
Key Qualifications
  • Deep technical knowledge of the data center industry and current market and technical trends.
  • Strong technical understanding of thermal, power, and networking requirements for enterprise, colocation, and hyperscale data centers.
  • Knowledge of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and its role in optimizing data center design configurations and operations.
  • Deep understanding of security, integration, and IT deployment requirements for delivering successful data center technology solutions, including DCIM, data center colocation, BMS, EPMS, and other enterprise applications.
  • Proven track record of delivering persuasive technical and economic value propositions and consulting sales engineering/solutions services in a colocation environment.
  • Ability to drive successful pre‑sales campaigns and manage cross-functional teams with Cadence technical staff and customers.
  • Capacity to foster and grow customer relationships with key stakeholders, influencers, and decision makers at all levels.
Position Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience as a Data Center Sales Engineer, Solutions Consultant, or Solutions Architect; more experience preferred.
  • B.S. degree in a technical discipline (Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science) is required; an MBA is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Annual salary range for California: $248,000 to $372,000.
  • Eligible for incentive compensation: bonus, equity, and benefits.
  • Benefits: paid vacation, paid holidays, 401(k) plan with employer match, employee stock purchase plan, medical, dental, and vision plans.
