Aerospace Mechanical Engineering Intern – NVH Summer 2026

Employee will join the Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) Division at Parker Lord in Cary, NC. This internship runs May–July and involves hands‑on work from concept to production.

Assist engineers throughout the product development process, including:

• Acquiring knowledge of department operations and workflow.
• Observing and participating in hands‑on projects and special assignments.
• Maintaining communication with program coach/mentor and providing feedback.
• Attending related training and applying it to work assignments.
• Performing data analysis, prototype construction, application engineering, customer review, preparing specifications/drawings, product testing, technical reports, documentation, and project coordination.

• GPA 3.0 or better.
• Actively pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
• Strong leadership, analytical, problem‑solving, and mechanical conceptualization skills.
• Computer proficiency and ability to learn new applications.
• Innovation, creative thinking, and self‑motivation.
• Ability to handle confidential information.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Team‑player capable of working effectively with others.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.

• Rising Junior.
• Experience with 3D CAD and MATLAB/Simulink.
• Experience on design projects.
