Director of Preconstruction

We’re seeking a Director of Preconstruction to lead our preconstruction efforts and drive success across our integrated design-build projects
. This role is instrumental in aligning design, budget, and construction strategy from concept through execution.

• Lead and mentor the preconstruction and estimating team
• Oversee conceptual estimating, budgeting, and GMP development
• Lead and coordinate integrated design-build efforts, working closely with architects, engineers, and internal teams to align design, cost, and constructability
• Provide leadership to the design team throughout preconstruction, ensuring efficient collaboration and decision-making
• Partner with clients during early project phases to establish scope, budget, and expectations
• Drive value engineering and cost optimization strategies without compromising quality
• Build and maintain strong subcontractor and vendor relationships
• Ensure a seamless transition from preconstruction to operations

• 10+ years of experience in preconstruction, estimating, or design-build environments
• Proven leadership experience managing teams and complex projects
• Strong understanding of integrated project delivery and design-build processes
• Expertise in conceptual estimating, value engineering, and cost planning
• Experience collaborating with and leading architects and engineers
• Excellent communication, leadership, and client-facing skills
