NOTE:

This position is Remote + Travel (25‑50%) to support projects in the T4E sub‑territory.

• Lead technical aspects of the assigned project until system acceptance.
• Design and implementation of the radio network, including infrastructure, subscribers, mobile backhaul, WAN, and CEN networks.
• High‑level customer and consultant interaction, including design reviews, witnessed staging, acceptance testing events, coverage acceptance testing, live system upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• System build‑out, configuration, and acceptance testing in both lab staging and field environments.
• Radio coverage testing, frequency analysis, and interference mitigation.
• Radio system licensing (FCC/Industry) preparation.
• Prepare system fleet map, encryption, and radio programming templates.
• Complete system documentation and support live system cutovers and upgrades.

• Radio Frequency Engineering principles.
• Land / Mobile Radio Engineering principles.
• RFDS principles, including antenna and cable selection, transmit combiners, receive multi‑couplers, and lightning protection systems.
• P25 Land Mobile Radio terminology and two‑way subscriber radio provisioning methods.
• Experience with Motorola ASTRO 25 architecture is a plus.
• Servers and related systems: VMware ESXi, Linux, Microsoft operating systems.
• Construction of remote communication sites, including site selection, grounding, compound development, tower and shelter requirements.
• Fortinet and Juniper firewalls, Nokia 7705 series routers, Juniper SRX/MX (Junos) series routers, HP/Aruba and Juniper switches.
• Remote access using SSH, SCP, SFTP, RDP.
• Point‑to‑point Microwave systems, Microwave RF & Network design.
• FCC licensing and frequency search.
• Software applications integration, API concepts, computer operating systems, OSI model.
• Networking protocols and devices: RSVP‑TE, OSPF, ISIS, BGP, MPLS, SIP, RTP, SNMP, NAT, routers, switches, stateful packet firewalls.
• Knowledge of physical layer (fiber, copper, microwave).
• IP networking, network design methodologies, (Ethernet, TCP/IP, L2/L3, MPLS) and troubleshooting.
• Certifications a plus:
  CompTIA Network+, Juniper JNCIA‑Junos, Nokia NRS1, CCNA or similar.
• Works collaboratively and builds relationships with colleagues, customers, and third‑party service professionals.
• Self‑motivated with good written and oral communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills.

• Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering or technical discipline and 7+ years of engineering or technical experience OR 10 years of engineering or technical experience.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required.
• Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
