As Electrical Engineer
, you will have the opportunity to:
- Function as a Technical Specialist or Project Lead
, providing guidance and expertise over project teams. - Develop design change packages for operating nuclear plant facilities and deliver solutions for a more sustainable future.
- Design and document one‑ and three‑line diagrams.
- Perform power cable sizing and develop cable schedules.
- Conduct complex engineering calculations such as load flow, short circuit, motor starting (ETAP or SKM), arc flash analysis (ETAP or SKM), protective relay settings, battery and charger sizing.
- Prepare schematics, interconnection diagrams, and equipment layouts.
- Develop electrical equipment specifications and Bills of Materials (BOM) for procurement and construction.
- Create man‑hour budgets and schedules for projects and proposals.
- Attend on‑site meetings, investigate existing conditions, interface with clients, and provide support during construction.
- Extensively use Microsoft Office business systems such as Project Wise, electrical engineering software such as ETAP and Computer Aided Drafting Tools such as AutoCAD to view and manipulate engineering drawing files.

- Continue developing knowledge and provide guidance on design guides, standards, systems, applicable engineering codes, and B&V policies; provide technical guidance to others regarding projects and disciplines.
- Independently apply knowledge and comply with B&V quality program relative to assigned tasks; may be responsible for ensuring compliance and providing related guidance.
- Prepare a variety of complex engineering deliverables for larger or multiple projects; perform complex research and develop recommendations for equipment and/or materials selection; manage associated data.
- Prepare complex engineering calculations following standard methods and principles; manage assigned budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
- Actively delegate appropriate tasks to lower‑level team members to develop depth of project execution staff; review lower‑level engineering work or assignments.
- Lead production teams; coordinate multiple discipline activity; serve as responsible charge for a project.
- Coordinate with all other internal/external team members on moderately complex projects.
- Assist with identifying key client interests and drivers on low to moderately complex projects; communicate client interests to project team members and develop approaches to accommodate these concerns.
- Provide support to business development or pursuit activities and offer other services to clients.
- Recognized as a technical specialist and provide consultation and guidance to project teams in a particular practice area; design a complete project of moderately complex scope or support multiple projects on complex technical challenges.
- Foster knowledge management and mentorship; develop and apply advanced engineering concepts and approaches to unique engineering problems.
- Participate in performance management process; provide mentoring and identify successors to train in the specifics of the role.
- Assist with resource management strategy and potentially manage engineering resources for small groups of a single discipline.
Administrative responsibilities may include:
- Ensuring policies, procedures and processes are effectively implemented and communicated for the work group.
- Ensuring adherence to corporate and division programs.
- Approving timesheets and expense reports.
