Junior Electrical Engineer - Construction

The organisation is growing its Mission Critical team and offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers on hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise data center developments.

This opportunity is ideal for an Electrical Engineer looking to build a career in the data center industry. The role provides hands‑on experience designing electrical systems, developing technical expertise, and gaining exposure to some of the industry's most exciting mission‑critical projects.

• Assist with the design of electrical systems for mission critical and data center projects.
• Support the development of power distribution layouts, single-line diagrams and electrical construction documents.
• Perform electrical calculations, load studies and equipment selections under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Assist with the design of medium and low voltage power systems, UPS systems, generators and mission critical infrastructure.
• Coordinate with mechanical, structural and technology teams to support integrated project delivery.
• Participate in design reviews, client meetings and multidisciplinary project coordination.
• Support construction administration by reviewing RFIs, submittals and conducting occasional site visits.
• Assist with commissioning activities and project close‑out documentation.
• Maintain compliance with NEC, NFPA and company engineering standards.
• Continue developing technical knowledge through mentorship and structured training.

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 0-3 years' experience within an engineering consultancy, internship or electrical design environment.
• Interest in mission critical, data center or power system design.
• Basic understanding of electrical power distribution systems.
• Experience with or exposure to Revit, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn within a collaborative team.
• EIT certification or actively working towards obtaining it is preferred.
• Self-motivated with strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
