Mechanical Code Enforcement Official (Mechanical Level II or III, with Plumbing Experience Preferred)

The ideal candidate will embody excellence and be able to effectively perform difficult technical work of conducting code enforcement inspections, principally of commercial and residential mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with state building codes and related regulations. The primary discipline for this position is mechanical; however, the successful candidate will be expected to receive education and training to perform plumbing inspections.
Additional experience in the plumbing industry will be preferential. Work includes considerable public contact in dealing with contractors, architects, engineers, the general public, and other Town staff. Anticipated Salary Range: $73,008.00 - $93,059.20
