About the Role

Temposonics is seeking a proactive, highly skilled, and versatile R&D Mechanical Technician to join our Research & Development team. In this role, you’ll bridge the gap between engineering concepts and physical execution—bringing next-generation sensors and electromechanical systems to life.

Key Responsibilities

• Prototyping & Machining: Set up and operate CNC/manual machine shop tools (lathes, mills) to fabricate high-precision prototype parts and custom fixtures.
• PCB Rework & Assembly: Perform high-reliability PCB rework, electrical debugging, and fine-pitch soldering (SMT and through-hole).
• Testing & Validation: Conduct rigorous reliability and environmental testing (thermal, shock, vibration) and document engineering test reports.
• NPI & Production Support: Serve as the technical bridge between R&D and Manufacturing to ensure smooth new product introduction (NPI) handoffs.
• Lab Management: Maintain the R&D lab in a safe, tour-ready condition, manage consumable inventories, and maintain equipment.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical/Electromechanical Engineering Technology, or equivalent military/trade experience.
• Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in an R&D lab, rapid-prototyping shop, or precision manufacturing environment.
