Customer Service Rep
Job Duties
- Prepare service estimates, sell routine maintenance/repair services, and conduct follow‑ups regarding unsold services and customer inquiries.
- Perform opening and closing responsibilities.
- Schedule appointments, answer phones, and collect funds for services performed.
- Predict the time needed for completion and stay in constant communication with the customer during the repair process.
- Assist with the coordination of alternate transportation, rental car reservations, shuttle, etc.
- Sell needed maintenance services and related parts to customers.
- Identify customer requests.
- Conduct a complete vehicle walk‑around.
- Present multi‑point inspection results to customers.
- Recommend needed maintenance services and related parts.
- Conduct a detailed active delivery of each vehicle.
- Make appropriate prospecting and follow‑up contacts with owners.
- Provide outstanding customer service in accordance with dealership policies.
- Write complete, accurate repair orders in accordance with dealership and manufacturer policies.
- Provide estimated cost analysis of automotive repairs and routine maintenance.
- Provide in-depth information on the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) part options.
- Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Intermediate skills in CDK or Reynolds and Reynolds software.
Relevant Work Experience1 year of experience working in a service advisor or express service advisor capacity.
CompensationThis is a commission‑eligible role. Employees can expect to earn an average monthly pay of $3,000–$10,000, with earning potential based on personal performance.
