Role Description

This full-time, on-site Financial Advisor role is based in Cary, NC. The Financial Advisor will meet with clients in person to assess their financial goals, analyze their current financial situation, and create tailored financial plans.

Day-to-day responsibilities include explaining investment and insurance options, developing strategies for budgeting, saving, retirement, and debt management, and regularly reviewing and adjusting plans as client needs evolve.

The role involves maintaining detailed records, complying with regulatory and company policies, and collaborating with teammates and managers to deliver consistent, high-quality client service. The Financial Advisor is expected to actively build and maintain client relationships, participate in local outreach, and stay current on financial products, market trends, and industry best practices.

Qualifications
  • Strong client relationship skills, including active listening, empathy, and the ability to explain complex financial concepts in clear, accessible terms.
  • Financial planning and analysis capabilities, such as assessing client needs, developing personalized strategies, and reviewing performance against goals.
  • Sales and business development aptitude, including comfort with prospecting, networking, and growing a client base in a professional, ethical manner.
  • Organizational and compliance skills, including accurate documentation, attention to detail, and adherence to regulatory and company standards.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate with managers, colleagues, and diverse client populations.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience); professional designations (e.g., CFP®, ChFC®, Series licenses, insurance licenses) are beneficial.
  • Demonstrated interest in serving military members, veterans, and their families; prior military experience or familiarity with military benefits and culture is a plus.
  • High ethical standards, integrity, and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
