Senior Business Control Specialist, GMO Risk, Global Markets Operations

• Oversee the design and effectiveness of the risk and control environment supporting Client Operational Services
• Monitor and test controls by evaluating data to identify issues and control improvements for remediation
• Implement optimized controls and enhanced Quality Assurance practices to support business continuity
• Conduct and coordinate quality inspection reviews to enhance employee performance and control effectiveness
• Execute QA activities, including controls execution, case management, and results reporting
• Identify opportunities for testing automation, procedural updates, thematic trend analysis, test script updates, and coaching
• Manage research and input for regulatory exams, internal audits, monitoring, and inspection reviews
• Partner with GFICCO teams and senior leaders to identify, quantify, prioritize, and mitigate risks
• Provide independent oversight and assessment of the risk environment
• Guide risk and control issue escalation, formal audit issue and operational event capture, and remediation plan development
• Coordinate regulatory exams, corporate audits, and target risk assessments, including remediation of MRA/MRIA findings
• Develop and maintain the Single Process Inventory framework and oversee metric performance
• Collaborate with Audit, Compliance, and Operational Risk partners on findings and emerging themes
• Ensure compliance with deadlines for risk identification, escalation, and remediation

Demonstrates expertise in risk management, quality assurance, and controls management, with a strong focus on process improvement and stakeholder collaboration. Capable of conducting audits, regulatory exams, and implementing effective remediation plans while maintaining compliance with operational standards.
