Hourly salary range of $15.48 to $17.99 is anticipated for this position.
The duties listed below are not all of the duties that may be assigned but are those considered essential for an employee to perform.
Responsibilities- Clinic Duties: Assists with patient exams and clinic activities. These activities may be performed in the main building or at satellite clinic locations (Highland and/or Summit). Performs and documents patient vitals in the Electronic Medical Record. Weighs and measures a client's height. Assists provider(s) with patient procedures and accompanies them during exams. Records all pertinent information in the Electronic Health Record.
- Inventory and Clinic Rooms: Order supplies, receive and rotate stock, stock exam rooms and work areas according to PAR levels, and keep all exam rooms and clinic areas clean. Keeps an up-to-date and accurate daily cleaning log in all exam rooms.
- Additional Miscellaneous Duties/Tasks: Autoclaving and checking eyewash stations, as required. Performs cleansing of instruments along with sterilization, as needed. Can act as a courier, if needed. Train any onboarding and/or CNA students. Serves as a resource to new staff. Complete other duties, as assigned.
- Team Participation: Attends and engages in all team huddles, as scheduled. Participate in all team meetings. Provides suggestions and feedback.
- Education: Participates in yearly competency activities for all PHS Division staff. Participates in any in-service trainings, educational trainings, and all other PHS meetings. Completes and turns in all required educational materials on time.
- Performance Management: Carry out Performance Management (PM) roles and responsibilities, including identifying and communicating performance improvement opportunities and adjusting performance and practice to achieve established PM goals.
- Preparedness and Emergency Response: As needed, assists in preparedness and emergency response activities in situations that threaten the public's health (i.e., disease outbreaks, natural disasters, etc.)
- Health Equity: Implement strategies aimed at achieving Health Equity, including but not limited to attending trainings to better understand inequities, identifying and addressing barriers to health, serving on the Health Equity Team or its subcommittees, and engaging in internal or external efforts to eliminate health disparities.
- High School Diploma or GED Certificate
- One year of similar experience in a Public Health Clinic, Physician Office, Nursing Home, or similar setting.
- Valid CPR Certification
- Valid vehicle operator's license
- Current certification as a Nurse Aide Assistant I issued by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
All certifications must be attached to the application in order to be considered for further review.
The applicant selected must undergo a criminal background check and pass a drug screening test prior to employment.
In compliance with related statutes, if the position being filled requires an applicant for employment to work with children in any capacity, the County must require the applicant, if offered the position, to be subject to a criminal history record check conducted by the SBI.
