Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) willing to make a difference in someone's life by providing companionship, care, and support.

InReach needs a DSP (Independent Contractor) for an adult female individual with developmental disabilities in the Union County area of Weddington/Waxhaw, NC. Staff will provide Community Living and Support Services for 3 days per week (Mon, Wed, and Fri).

• Getting the individual out into the community
• Light meal prep and feeding
• Light housekeeping organization

• Must be able to lift, transfer, and handle a wheelchair
• Must be able to handle all personal care needs
• CNA is highly preferred but not required

Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (8am to 4pm) with some flexibility. This has potential for full 40 hours per week.

$20.35/hr

• Instruction and assistance in home living environments
• Help the individual identify and acquire valued social roles
• Facilitate community integration
• Dispense medication and monitor dosages
• Transport and accompany the individual to and from day programs, work sites, and community activities

All InReach applicants must have a high school diploma (or GED), a valid driver's license, and successfully pass a drug screen and background check. One to two years of experience with the I/DD population preferred.

This DSP position is an Independent Contractor position. Independent Contractors receive a 1099 tax form and use a third‑party Contract Management vendor for their direct deposits. Additional fees required for contractors include paying for state‑required training, Occupational Accident Insurance, and administrative fees for the Contract Management vendor.
