JobOverview
Early Intervention Service Coordinators (EISCs) are the heart of Early Intervention. They provide service coordination for children in the NC Infant‑Toddler Program and support to their families and caregivers. Birth to three is a critical period for working with families; EISCs facilitate early development and learning during this window of opportunity. EISCs typically have the flexibility of telework and a hybrid workplace.
Responsibilities- Work with families and team members to develop functional Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs)
- Work with multidisciplinary teams to determine families’ needs for supports and services
- Conduct home visits
- Coordinate services such as speech and physical therapy
- Arrange and monitor other early intervention services
- Plan for transition to other services at age three
- Experience working with children aged 0‑8 and their families, including children with developmental delays
- Knowledge of young child development and developmental milestones
- Experience collaborating with families and other professionals

Minimum Education and Experience- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Elementary Education or Early Childhood Education, Psychology from an accredited institution and
** two
* * years of professional experience working with the population served - OR Bachelor’s degree in a human services field from an accredited institution and
** three
* * years of professional experience working with the population served - OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
