As an RRT-New Grad at Wake Med Cary, you’ll evaluate, treat, and manage adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients with respiratory illnesses and cardiopulmonary disorders across a variety of clinical settings. You’ll play a key role in improving patient outcomes by:
- Performing comprehensive respiratory assessments and diagnostic procedures
- Delivering all respiratory care treatments as ordered, including oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and airway management
- Evaluating treatment effectiveness and adjusting care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
- Educating patients and families to support understanding and continuity of care
- Responding to emergency situations and providing life‑saving respiratory support
- Documenting care in the electronic medical record with accuracy, timeliness, and professionalism
- Adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients

- Active North Carolina Respiratory Care Practitioner License
Required Certifications (Based on Patient Population)
- Adult Care:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Neonatal/Pediatric Care:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
Associate's Degree Respiratory Therapy Required
Experience1 Year Clinical - Respiratory Therapy Preferred
