Shift: FT Monday – Friday Medical Assistant – Dermatology Cary, NC | In-Office Support exceptional patient care in a collaborative dermatology setting.

Raleigh Medical Group, PA is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our Dermatology clinical team in Cary. This role supports providers and patients throughout the visit, helping ensure a positive patient experience and efficient clinic operations.

The ideal candidate is organized, team-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities Prepare and room patients for examinations and dermatology visits.

Obtain and document patient medical histories and vital signs.

Assist providers during examinations and in-office procedures as directed.

Prepare patients and supplies for procedures and provide basic wound care as directed.

Administer medications as directed by the physician.

Collect, label, and prepare laboratory or pathology specimens as needed.

Clean, disinfect, and maintain instruments and equipment.

Ensure exam rooms are fully stocked, clean, and prepared for patient care.

Document patient care, procedures, and results accurately in the EMR.Assist with prescription refills, prior authorizations, referrals, and patient follow-up as directed.

Provide patients with instructions and education under provider guidance.

Respond to non-emergent patient questions under provider guidance.

Maintain compliance with OSHA, infection control, HIPAA, and safety standards.

Support a positive, patient-centered experience throughout the visit.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

High School diploma or equivalent

Minimum of one (1) year of Medical Assistant experience

Strong computer and documentation skills

Preferred:

Medical Assistant certification

Dermatology or outpatient clinical experience

Experience with EMR systems.
