Position: INTERNATIONAL TOUR DIRECTOR

Kalos Golf seeks an experienced hospitality, travel, or private club professional to serve as an International Tour Director. Tour Directors are responsible for coordinating and executing our exceptional golf and leisure travel programs f or discerning clientele aboard luxury cruise vessels, private air journeys, and land-based itineraries worldwide.

The Tour Director serves as the operational leader of each program and is responsible for delivering the high-touch service, comfort, convenience, and camaraderie that define the Kalos experience. Tour Directors represent the Kalos brand throughout the guest journey and are entrusted with ensuring that each program reflects the standards of excellence expected by our esteemed guests. This role combines luxury hospitality, international travel operations, group leadership, communications, relationship management, and real-time problem solving.

Position

Responsibilities Guest Experience Expertise
  • Create a welcoming and personalized atmosphere, with a guest-centric mindset.
  • Anticipate guest needs and proactively address concerns; exercise service recovery.
  • Maintain guest confidence and implement solutions in rapidly changing situations.
  • Establish meaningful connections with guests before, during, and after travel.
Leadership & Team Coordination
  • Lead and support 5+ members of a Kalos team on trips ranging from 40-120 guests.
  • Provide clear and thorough communications via prepared documents as well as spontaneous emails, phone calls, texts, and public announcements.
  • Demonstrate calm, decisive leadership and adaptability to change.
  • Foster a warm culture of respectful camaraderie, collaboration, and inclusion.
Program Planning & Execution
  • Develop comprehensive operational itineraries with seamless logistics for assigned trips.
  • Possess financial acumen to manage trip budgets of $1 million +
  • Prepare detailed operational documentation and contingency plans.
  • Manage precise daily tour schedules and deliver trip plans safely and efficiently.
  • Build trust-based and productive relationships with hotels, cruise operators, golf clubs, transportation providers, guides, destination management companies, and local vendors.
  • Ensure contractual commitments and service standards are fulfilled.
  • Identify potential operational risks before they impact guests.
  • Resolve disruptions with urgency, sound judgement, and solid financial stewardship.
Qualifications Required
  • 8+ years of experience in hospitality, tourism, luxury travel, private club management, event operations, cruise operations, destination management, or related field
  • Demonstrated experience leading customer-facing operations
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills
  • Outstanding verbal and written communications, including comfort with public speaking
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities simultaneously , on deadline
  • Existing proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, One Drive
  • Ability to travel for extended periods such as two weeks at a time, 4-6 times annually
Preferred
  • Knowledge of golf operations and golf tournament administration
  • Experience leading escorted tours or group travel programs
  • History of working with sophisticated, high-expectation clientele
  • International travel experience
  • Experience using MAC computer hardware
  • Experience with Golf Genius and/or File Maker Pro software
Working Conditions
  • Willingness to work onsite full-time in a traditional office environment 4-5 days weekly
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, evenings, and non-traditional schedules
