Payroll Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team in Cary, North Carolina. This is a 100% onsite, Contract to permanent position within the construction industry, offering traditional work hours and opportunities for overtime. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing payroll for large teams, ensuring accuracy and compliance with multi-state regulations.

Responsibilities:

- Process weekly payroll for over 1,000 hourly field employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

- Manage multi-state payroll tasks while adhering to relevant labor laws and compliance standards.

- Utilize ADP Workforce Now to execute full-cycle payroll operations.

- Handle payroll adjustments, discrepancies, and employee inquiries professionally and efficiently.

- Monitor and maintain payroll records to ensure data integrity and compliance.

- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless payroll processing and reporting.

- Implement and optimize payroll procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

- Generate detailed payroll reports and summaries as required by management.

- Stay updated on payroll regulations and apply changes to processes when necessary. Requirements - Proven experience in full-cycle payroll management, preferably for large teams or organizations.

- Expertise in multi-state payroll processing and familiarity with state-specific regulations.

- Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now and other payroll systems.

- Ability to handle payroll for over 500 employees with consistency and attention to detail.

- Strong analytical skills for resolving payroll discrepancies and ensuring data accuracy.

- Excellent communication skills for addressing employee inquiries and collaborating with teams.

- Knowledge of weekly payroll cycles and related reporting requirements.

- Experience in the construction industry is a plus but not required.
