Technical Project Manager — Contractor

Engagement Type: Contract (1099 or W2 only)

Client: Banking / Financial Services

Location: Cary, NC – onsite

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to support initiatives for a banking client
. This role requires strong technical project management skills, effective stakeholder communication, and the ability to document and archive knowledge across teams and systems.

• Lead and manage technical projects from initiation through delivery
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, and status reporting
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings and ensure alignment on scope, priorities, and deliverables
• Identify and manage risks, dependencies, and issues
• Ensure proper knowledge archiving
  , documentation, and handoff of project artifacts
• Maintain clear communication with internal teams and client stakeholders in a regulated banking environment

• Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager
• Strong understanding of technical systems, SDLC, and project delivery methodologies
• Experience managing stakeholders at multiple levels
• Strong documentation and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple work streams simultaneously
• Experience working in or with banking or financial services clients

• Experience in regulated environments
• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid project management frameworks
• PMP, Scrum Master, or similar certification (preferred but not required)
