Business Consultant - Sydney AU area

We are seeking a Business Consultant to join our Professional Services team in Australia. This role reports to the Retail Planning Practice Director and will focus on implementing our solution for retailers across the region.

This is a customer-facing Business Consultant role. You will participate in solution definition workshops, translate retail planning processes into configured software, support data loading and integrations, validate whether customer data is fit for planning and analytics, and advise customers through design, build, testing, and adoption of our platform solutions.

• Contribute to discovery and solution definition
• Partner with customers to understand current and future-state planning processes.
• Translate technical needs into clear functional requirements and configuration decisions.
• Advise customers on practical process choices, trade-offs, and data readiness needs.
• Configure Bamboo Rose solution to deliver defined customer workflows, business rules, metadata, foundations, and presentation needs.
• Work hands-on with the levers and configuration settings that make the customer experience match the agreed business process.
• Support demos, iteration, UAT, go-live preparation, and post-go-live adoption.
• Partner with technical teams on customer and third-party integrations, including API, SQL, JSON, and adjacent system considerations.
• Manage workstream scope, timelines, dependencies, risks, and customer readiness.
• Build trust with customer stakeholders by being clear, practical, and accountable.

• Experience in retail planning, merchandising, supply chain planning, retail systems, or related enterprise software implementation.
• Retail domain knowledge in general merchandise, fashion/apparel, sporting goods, or another planning-intensive retail environment.
• Hands-on SaaS, enterprise software, or retail systems configuration experience.
• Strong business analysis skills, including requirements gathering, process mapping, data review, and UAT support.
• Ability to evaluate data integrity and explain whether data is fit for planning and decision-making.
• Comfort collaborating with technical teams on integrations, data loads, and system constraints; SQL, API, or JSON exposure is a plus.
• Customer-facing consulting presence and the ability to advise.
• Project management exposure and experience around scope, timeline, budget, risk, and dependencies preferred.
