Position Summary

Lenovo is seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager (TPM) to drive the successful delivery of complex AI systems, applications, and model development projects. As a TPM, you will serve as a bridge between multiple technical teams, product management, and stakeholders, operating in a fast‑paced, globally distributed company. Crucially, this role requires a strong technical foundation – the ability to understand and articulate complex technical details is essential for effective communication and problem‑solving with our engineering and data science teams.

You will be responsible for program planning, execution, risk management, and communication, ultimately ensuring we deliver high‑quality AI solutions on time.

Responsibilities
  • Define program scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with cross‑functional teams. Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including engineering, product management, and stakeholders, to drive project delivery. Understand the big‑picture and the system level to answer questions and clarify requirements.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with technical projects, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, progress, and issues.
  • Track project metrics, identify deviations from plans, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance project delivery efficiency and effectiveness.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in technical program management, software development, or a related field, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies (SCLC), technical architectures, and industry trends, with the ability to understand and discuss technical concepts related to AI/ML, particularly Large Language Models (LLMs).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
  • Proven experience with project management tools (e.g. Atlassian), techniques, and methodologies (e.g. Agile). PMP, PRINCE2, or another project management certification is a plus.
