We are seeking an experienced Consultant – Asset and Configuration Management to design, govern, and continuously improve Asset and Configuration Management practices in alignment with organizational objectives and ITIL best practices. The role requires close collaboration with IT and business stakeholders to drive process excellence, enhance service quality, and improve operational efficiency across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and govern Asset & Configuration Management (ACM) processes aligned with ITIL best practices
- Define governance structures, policies, and ownership models for CMDB and Asset Management
- Ensure successful implementation and maintenance of CMDB following industry standards
- Drive alignment of asset and configuration processes with organizational and business goals
- Conduct process training and tool enablement sessions for stakeholders and operational teams
- Lead continuous service improvement initiatives, including service improvement plans and solution roadmaps
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT and business teams to ensure process adoption and compliance
- Define and track KPIs and metrics to measure process effectiveness and efficiency
- Provide strategic input and develop business cases for process and tool improvements
- Support change management activities and influence stakeholders to adopt standardized processes
- Ensure lifecycle governance of Hardware Asset Management (HAM) including compliance and optimization
- Maintain and improve asset management within DAAS/PCAAS and traditional on-prem desktop environments
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage diverse technical and business stakeholders
- Strategic, customer-focused mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proven ability to lead process improvement and change management initiatives
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to influence without authority
- Self-driven with a strong focus on results and timely delivery
- Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and supporting CMDB using industry best practices
- Strong understanding of CSDM 4, beyond definitions, including practical implementation in enterprise CMDBs
- Experience with Hardware Asset Management lifecycle governance
- Proficiency in data analysis and performance reporting using multiple data sources
- Experience with IT Operations, Service Delivery, or IT Governance functions
- Experience with ITSM tools such as:
- Service Now (preferred)
- BMC
- Jira
- Cherwell
- Service management tool certifications are a plus
- Familiarity with Agile, Dev Ops, and Lean methodologies
- Ability to effectively train, coach, and influence teams to follow defined processes
- Strong understanding of IT Service Management industry best practices
- Ability to demonstrate and articulate measurable process outcomes and value realization
- Comfortable working in complex, multi‐stakeholder enterprise environments
