Product Analyst
Penny Mac is seeking a high-performing Product Analyst III to join our Salesforce CRM Product Team. Reporting directly to the Product Owner, you will serve as a key strategic partner in defining and executing the product vision for our enterprise Salesforce architecture. In this senior-level role, you aren't just documenting requirements; you are responsible for supporting the Product Owner in designing scalable, long-term solutions that drive efficiency across the organization.
You will lead high-visibility projects, mentor junior analysts, and ensure that our Salesforce instance remains a world-class engine for mortgage production.
A Typical Day
- Product Owner Partnership:
Act as a primary advisor to the Product Owner, assisting in roadmap prioritization, grooming the product backlog, and ensuring that business requirements are technically feasible within the Salesforce ecosystem. - Strategic Solutioning:
Lead discovery sessions with executive stakeholders to translate vague business needs into precise technical requirements, prioritizing declarative configuration (Flows, Dynamic Forms) over custom code. - Process Optimization:
Identify manual bottlenecks in the loan lifecycle and design automated work streams using advanced Flow logic and integrated third-party applications. - Release Management:
Actively monitor Salesforce's tri-annual release cycles to identify new features (AI, Data Cloud, etc.) that can be leveraged to retire technical debt or enhance user productivity. - Org Health & Governance:
Oversee system performance and data integrity, managing complex data migrations and ensuring our security model (Profiles, Permission Sets, Sharing Rules) scales safely. - Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with Salesforce Developers to define technical specifications for Apex or LWC components when declarative solutions reach their limits. - Mentorship:
Provide guidance and peer reviews for Level I and II Analysts, fostering a culture of best practices and "Configuration First" design.
What you'll Bring:
- Platform Expertise: 5+ years of experience as a Product or Business Analyst within the Salesforce ecosystem, with deep knowledge of Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and preferably Financial Services Cloud (FSC).
- Agile Leadership:
Proven track record of managing a Salesforce backlog, writing "ready-for-dev" User Stories, and leading comprehensive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles. - Communication:
Exceptional ability to explain complex technical Salesforce limitations or possibilities to non-technical leadership in a way that influences business strategy. - Data & Analytics Rigor:
Proficiency with Data Loader and CRM Analytics to drive data-led decision-making and maintain high-integrity reporting.
