Minimum QualificationsMinimum of one year of experience in enterprise application administration, ERP support, systems administration, database/application support, Windows Server, Linux, UNIX, or a closely related technology area required.
Preferred QualificationsExperience with Ellucian Banner, Ellucian Colleague, higher education administrative systems, ERP implementation, integrations, reporting, security administration, cloud systems, or server administration preferred.
Certifications in Ellucian products, Linux, Microsoft, networking, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, database administration, project management, or other related areas preferred.
Degree in programming, computer science, information systems, information technology, business systems, or a technology-related field preferred.
Relevant industry certifications in ERP systems, Microsoft, Linux, cloud technology, networking, database administration or related technologies are preferred and may be considered as evidence of additional technical training and expertise.
To perform technical duties related to the daily operations, administration, integration, security, and support of the College’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) environment. This position also performs server administration and related application support for administrative systems; coordinates assigned activities with other College departments, the North Carolina Community College System, Ellucian, and other outside agencies; and supports the stability, security, and effectiveness of the College’s administrative technology environment.

Essential and other responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Essential Functions:
- Administer, maintain, and support the ERP environment, including applications, administrative modules, integrations, security, upgrades, testing, and related operational processes.
- Serve as a technical resource for ERP implementation, configuration, troubleshooting, release coordination, documentation, and ongoing support.
- Manage and administer ERP user security, roles, access, and permissions in coordination with functional offices, Technology Services leadership, and applicable security policies.
- Assist with data integrations, reporting needs, APIs, file transfers, and third-party system connections related to ERP systems, and other administrative applications.
- Configure, install, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot server software and related administrative application environments, including Windows Server, Linux/UNIX, cloud-hosted, and vendor-managed systems as applicable.
- Monitor administrative systems for performance, reliability, availability, backups, audit needs, and security concerns.
- Assist with operating system, database, middleware, and application software release levels in the administrative server environment as published by vendors.
- Assist with the installation, documentation, testing, and validation of new ERP releases, patches, upgrades, and system changes.
- Provide technical support, training, and guidance to end users, functional leads, and other Technology Services staff.
- Assist in the administration and support of document imaging, data warehousing, reporting, self-service, intranet applications, e-procurement, and other enterprise application environments.
- Work with software and hardware vendors, Ellucian, the North Carolina Community College System, and state personnel to resolve issues and support contractual or technical requirements.
- Review vendor software bulletins, release notes, security advisories, and technical documentation to avoid potential problems and install updates or modifications as required.
- Work with network, security, systems, and functional staff to maintain, update, configure, and troubleshoot communications between ERP systems, servers, cloud services, and third-party applications.
- Evaluate, install, configure, test, document, and troubleshoot third-party software and tools used in support of ERP and administrative operations.
- Assist with the administration, installation, maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of on-premises data center and server infrastructure, including physical and virtual servers, storage systems, racks, cabling, UPS systems, and related technology equipment. Assist with hardware installation, replacement, upgrades, equipment lifecycle activities, and other data center operations as assigned.
