• Provide two-way interpretation between English and Spanish for families and staff
• Coordinate and schedule district interpretation services to support effective communication
• Respond to requests received through the Language Assistance phone lines
• Prepare monthly reports of interpretation services rendered
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and guide personnel on best practices

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of two years of recent experience working as a part-time or full-time interpreter
• Advanced proficiency in both Spanish and English, with excellent oral and written communication skills
• Considerable knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Ability to interpret using consecutive, simultaneous, and sight translation techniques

• Considerable knowledge of the Wake County Public School System (WCPSS)
• Experience working in a school environment
