Our Cary team is seeking a highly detailed and motivated professional legal assistant seeking full-time work. The candidate should have exemplary organizational, time management, interpersonal, and multi-tasking skills in addition to a high level of attention to detail.
QualificationsAt least 1-3 years working in a law firm performing legal secretarial and clerical tasks. If you are passionate about litigation, are looking for a collaborative work environment, and enjoy working with a team, this is an excellent opportunity for you.
Your Duties and Responsibilities- Provide general administrative support to attorneys, paralegals, and legal team staff.
- Serve as an office runner, including court filings, document delivery, and handling third-party communications (valid driver’s license required).
- Travel to marketing and firm events, including occasional overnight travel as needed.
- Assist with drafting and preparing legal documents.
- Maintain regular communication with clients and respond to inquiries as directed.
- Open and close client matters and maintain accurate file records.
- Organize, maintain, and file legal department documents to ensure proper recordkeeping and department upkeep.
