The Senior Manager, SIOP Demand and Supply Planning will have oversight of the consensus aftermarket demand plan and mid to long term supply plan for a business segment. You will implement and maintain SIOP demand and supply planning process to optimize forecasting, service, and inventory levels. You implement medium and long-term supply chain strategies and networks that address capacity issues, continuity of supply, and inventory in support of business growth.
KeyDemand Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Commercial Leaders to develop an 18-month consensus demand plan for an assigned aftermarket business unit through the monthly SIOP cycle.
- Partner with stakeholders across teams to capture all inputs to the demand plan and to ensure adjustments and improvements to forecasting models and methodologies are implemented.
- Integrate firm backlog, order pipeline, bookings forecast, statistical forecasting, portfolio management, NPI, market intelligence and other product demand signals to create a consensus demand forecast.
- Coordinate cross-functional discussions to document and challenge Demand Plan assumptions and refine the forecast.
- Collaborate with senior management to align demand planning initiatives with overall business strategies and goals. Ensure alignment between revenue and demand plans.
- Understand the drivers of demand changes, customers, and revenue impacts and potential effects on the downstream processes.
- Lead the SIOP Demand Reviews; prepare all data and metrics for review, identify gaps and scenarios that must be presented; guide final decision making on open items and trade-offs, and prepare escalations for executive review where appropriate.
- Oversee long term supply planning activities including supply and demand balancing and long-term capacity planning for an assigned aftermarket business unit
- Translate demand plans to a 3- to 18-month supply horizon as part of an input to the monthly Executive SIOP while optimizing customer delivery and inventory levels
- Collaborate with Material Managers to generate recommendations to solve capacity issues and support long term sales demand
- Measure, analyze and report key SIOP supply metrics, while monitoring adherence to key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Manage long-term capacity views with scenario planning, being able to identify constraints and elevate exceptions for business consideration with the suggestion of possible scenarios and solutions.
- Identify, resolve and elevate supply chain risks including but not limited to, supplier disruptions and inventory shortages
- Provide regular updates on supply status, risks and opportunities to all key internal partners
- Lead Inventory Management Process for the aftermarket business unit. Collaborate with sites and business units to drive DOH targets
- Bachelor’s degree
- 6+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Finance, Sales Operations, or Program/Project Management
- MBA or master’s degree in business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Finance or equivalent
- Experience with demand and supply planning tools
- Strong working knowledge of S&OE and S&OP with implementation experience
- Ability to build cross-functional relationships through strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in aftermarket demand and supply planning
- Advanced capability in Microsoft Excel and Power Point
