Position: Floor Technician (Glenaire)

Floor Technician (Glenaire) – Kintura

Shift: Noon-8pm.

Responsibilities
  • Perform day‑to‑day environmental service functions, including on‑call and weekend schedules.
  • Follow daily work assignments and perform specific tasks as directed.
  • Conduct self inspections.
  • Burnish floors with a high‑speed burnisher and strip wax with a low‑speed burnisher.
  • Clean floors (sweeping, dusting, mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, disinfecting, etc.), ensuring safety signs are set up.
  • Clean carpets and mats (vacuuming, bonnet cleaning, deodorizing, extracting, spotting, disinfecting).
  • Clean walls, doors, door handles, ceilings, light fixtures, vents, switches, covers, thermostats, windows, baseboards and pictures by washing, wiping, dusting, spot cleaning, disinfecting, deodorizing.
  • Clean hallways, office areas, stairways and elevators.
  • Discard waste into proper containers, clean/disinfect receptacles and reline with plastic liners.
  • Collect and dispose of infectious waste per facility policy.
  • Incorporate infection control and safety procedures into daily tasks.
  • Maintain supplies, equipment, and the appearance of environmental service areas.
  • Move furniture.
  • Pick up recycling and take to the designated area.
  • Ensure work areas are clean and equipment/tools are stored properly.
  • Assist in laundry/environmental service areas as needed.
  • Drive company vehicle as assigned.
  • Attend monthly staff meetings to identify and correct problem areas and improve services.
