IMI Association Executives, a leading association management company (AMC), is seeking a passionate and results-driven Operations and Certification Manager. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact while supporting Lamaze International, a global leader in evidence-based childbirth education, dedicated to advancing safe and healthy pregnancy, birth, and early parenting through education and advocacy through thoughtful leadership and operational excellence.

WHAT

YOU'LL DOAccount Manager
  • Take ownership of the day-to-day operations of Lamaze International, ensuring excellence and efficiency in all deliverables.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the Lamaze leadership and educators, providing expert operational support and strategic insight.
  • Foster strong, professional relationships between IMI and Lamaze International through responsive, solutions-focused services.
  • Work closely with Lamaze’s Executive Director to support the organization’s mission and long-term success.
  • Track commitments and ensure follow-through on tasks, fostering a culture of ownership and accountability.
Leadership / Board and Committee Liaison
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director and committee chairs to ensure alignment and readiness for all initiatives.
  • Provide project management for multiple volunteer committees including logistics for meetings.
  • Serve as staff liaison to Lamaze’s Certification Council and Education Committee, providing operational support, tracking deliverables, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Show commitment to Lamaze’s success by going above and beyond to support strategic priorities, even when challenges arise.
Program Planning and Management
  • Lead the planning and evaluation of Lamaze programs to align with its mission and strategic priorities.
  • Offer creative, knowledgeable ideas to improve daily operations and enhance programming.
  • Maintain and update an annual production calendar to keep teams and projects on track.
  • Manage Lamaze’s Certification and Recertification programs, including candidate applications, exam logistics and credential renewals.
  • Manage Lamaze’s Accreditation process for accredited Childbirth Education programs.
  • Administer CEU approval and provider processes for Lamaze childbirth educators.
Financial Planning and Management
  • Partner with the Executive Director to create and manage the annual budget responsibly.
  • Monitor and report on financial performance with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Ensure transparency by providing regular, clear financial reports to stakeholders.
  • Provide expert guidance on budgetary strategy, offering insights that help Lamaze make informed decisions.
  • Support Lamaze’s budget and financial planning, including tracking certification revenue, membership dues, and continuing education program expenses.
Team Management
  • Set clear expectations and empower team members to succeed with the right training and mentorship.
  • Encourage team collaboration and alignment through regular meetings and open communication.
  • Promote collaboration by encouraging cross-functional teamwork and knowledge-sharing across teams and with Lamaze stakeholders.

  • A four-year college degree or five years of equivalent experience.
