Description of Work This position is responsible for the administration and management of a division of three-four homes and facilitating comprehensive programming, services, and evaluations for the assigned individuals. The pivotal task is the development and implementation of habilitative training programs based on individual needs and personal goals of each person.

The Division Director facilitates the system of service delivery to ensure that the resulting programs/services are supported by both professional and direct care personnel; procurement of necessary supportive supplies, equipment, and services; establishment and maintenance of an atmosphere conducive to growth and development; adherence to policies, goals, and objectives of the Center and the Department of Health and Human Services.

Work includes responsibility for budget, personnel management, record maintenance, and building maintenance. Must have overall working knowledge of Center procedures and processes to assure quality and service organization. Utilize staff assigned to the division to provide twenty-four-hour coverage, services, supports and training. Responsible for assuring that all task assignments are completed and of high quality in compliance with laws, standards, and personnel policies.

The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs )/ Management Preferences are not required. Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred:

Knowledge of comprehensive programming for the developmentally disabled with secondary physical, psychological, and developmental deficits is required.

Considerable knowledge of management and administration techniques as applied to state government, skill in administering a complex treatment program and directing the work of professional employees, and effective oral and written communication.

This Position Is Designated As Mandatory And Must Report Or Stay Over During Adverse Weather Events.
