We are seeking a skilled and reliable Paint Prep / Sandblaster to join our team. This role requires experience in either paint preparation or sandblasting, and autobody experience is highly preferred.
Responsibilities- Preparing surfaces for painting by sanding, grinding, and cleaning.
- Performing sandblasting to remove rust, paint, and other coatings from surfaces.
- Masking and taping off areas to be protected from paint or sandblasting.
- Mixing paints and other coatings according to specifications.
- Applying primers and sealers.
- Maintaining equipment and ensuring a clean and safe work environment.
- Following all safety protocols and procedures.
- Assisting with other shop tasks as needed.
- Some experience required in either paint preparation or sandblasting.
- Autobody experience highly preferred.
- Ability to use sanding, grinding, and sandblasting equipment.
- Knowledge of surface preparation techniques.
- Ability to mix and apply paints and coatings.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Reliable and punctual.
- $18.00 to $20.00 per hour
