We are looking for an energetic Assistant Production Supervisor to join our first shift team in our NC location. The Assistant Production Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Production Management team in coordinating, training and supervising day to day production personnel. Ensuring that quality products are ready in a timely manner for shipping to meet customer needs.

Required hours

Monday – Thursday 7a – 5:30p and some Fridays when necessary

Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for ensuring that production output is maximized through planning, utilization of people, and effective management of process and packaging equipment.
• Responsible for working closely with QA to ensure that quality procedures and GMP’s are followed.
• Responsible to make sure employees are adequately trained in their areas, understand their responsibilities and are held accountable for their actions.
• Continually work with team to reduce waste and rework.
• Review all production paperwork and ensure its complete at the end of each shift.
• Assist in duties of Production Supervisor in their absence.
• Execute all procedures and policies that are put in place to reach company objectives.
• Responsible for the Housekeeping of the assigned work area.
• Ensure preventative maintenance, schedule and recordkeeping are followed
• accordingly.
• Ensure sanitation is maintained by employees.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Food manufacturing experience preferred.
• Able to lead a team to achieve results.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and troubleshooting instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to apply mathematical concepts and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to manage and complete multiple tasks.
