About the Role

Pay rate: $17/hr plus a $1 shift differential.

The Production Associate 2 employee at Cornerstone Building Brands Aperture Solutions is responsible for various windows & doors assembly operations while ensuring we safely make a quality product, minimize waste and cost, and deliver on time to customers. The role requires working with a sense of urgency while maintaining the flow of material throughout the plant.

What You'll Do
  • Operate hand tools as required and assemble, lift, pick and pack products
  • Support and participate in Employee Engagement activities
  • Follow defined clean‑up times
  • Work in a safe manner and follow safe work practices and policies
  • Follow the established rate as defined by customer demand and standardized operations
  • Participate in defining and improving standard work to improve quality windows for customers
  • Identify problems; communicate issues
  • Assist with training co‑workers
  • Support a respectful workplace
  • Perform other duties across the plant as needed, as directed by supervision or management
What You'll Need
  • Ability to read a tape measure and interpret fractions and decimals
  • Basic word and number recognition and visual cue reading
  • Operate power tools with dexterity and know when to change PPE
  • Identify hazards while understanding station safety protocols and PPE
  • Knowledge of measurement standards and tolerances
  • Follow instruction and standard work while frequently referencing standard work instructions
  • Knowledge of product defects specific to the workstation
  • Quality recognition for station quality requirements and CTQ
  • Effective communication skills: active listening, clear explanation, asking questions, sharing important information
  • Time management awareness of cycle times
  • Basic math: adding, subtracting, fractions and decimals
  • Computer system interaction: accessing, navigating, downloading
  • Stand for 8‑10 hours using good posture and repetitive motion
  • Problem solving via root‑cause analysis
  • Dependability: on time, consistently
  • Profile recognition ability to compare shapes to sample drawings
  • Monitor inventory adhering to min‑max levels and manage scrap utilization
  • Accurate, timely, legible record keeping
  • Wear required PPE (metatarsal shoes, arm guards, ear protection, safety glasses)
  • Dependability and punctuality with detail orientation
  • High school diploma preferred
  • Physical ability to bend, squat, twist, push/pull, reach, and stand
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds consistently, 8‑12 hours a day
  • Ability to work in hot and cold environments
  • Willingness and ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed
  • Willingness and ability to work in various positions across departments (cross‑trained)
  • Perform tasks requiring repetitive motion and stand for long periods
  • Compliance with all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations
  • Follow supervisors’ instructions and directions
  • Skills:
