Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery

Job Type: PRN | Variable

Schedule: 12-hour shifts. May include days, nights, weekends and holidays. PRN, as needed.

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our 14-bed Women’s Services Unit, which includes a Level 2B nursery with 6 beds and an 8-bed Labor & Delivery/Mother Baby Unit. The unit averages 50 deliveries per month with a below‑average C‑section rate, providing comprehensive care for expectant mothers and newborns.

• Accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs.
• Identify and initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provide care appropriate to patient condition and age.
• Perform timely and accurate documentation of medical necessity in the medical record.
• Complete and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Perform timely and accurate QI assessments.

• Current North Carolina or compact state Registered Nurse license.
• Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school.
• AHA Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
• AHA ACLS and PALS certification required within six months of hire.
• One year of nursing experience preferred.
• Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision, and ability to work in a stressful environment.
