Registered Nurse (RN) - Mother/Baby

Job Type: PRN | Variable

Schedule:

12‑hour shifts, PRN as needed. Shifts may include days, nights, weekends and holidays.

More About Our Team

Join our team in a 14‑bed Women’s Services Unit featuring a Level 2B nursery with 6 beds and an 8‑bed L&D/Mother Baby Unit. With an average of 50 deliveries per month and a below‑average C‑section rate, the unit provides comprehensive care for expectant mothers and newborns.

How You’ll Contribute
  • Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
  • Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
  • Provides care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient
  • Performs timely and appropriate documentation related to medical necessity
  • Responsibility includes completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
  • Performs timely and accurate QI assessments

What We’re Looking For

Applicants must have a current North Carolina or compact state Registered Nurse license and possess an associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school.

  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • AHA ACLS and PALS certifications required within six months of hire.
  • One year of experience preferred.
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
