Job Overview - Dermatology Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant
Compensation: $160,000 - $180,000/year

TAG Med Staffing is hiring a Dermatology Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant in Duplin County, NC for our client, supporting dermatology care, skin evaluations, and in-office procedures within a clinical setting. In this role, you will diagnose and manage a range of skin conditions, perform procedures, and collaborate with physicians to deliver high-quality patient care. You will utilize EMR systems to document visits, track treatment plans, and support continuity of care while focusing on medical dermatology and preventive skin health.
Responsibilitiesas the Dermatology Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant:
- Patient Evaluations & Diagnosis: Perform skin assessments and diagnose a range of dermatologic conditions.
- Treatment Planning & Management: Develop and manage treatment plans for acute and chronic skin conditions.
- Dermatologic Procedures: Perform procedures such as biopsies, cryotherapy, and lesion removal.
- Skin Cancer Evaluation: Identify and manage precancerous and cancerous skin conditions within scope of practice.
- Documentation & Patient
Education:
Maintain accurate EMR documentation and educate patients on skin health and treatment plans.
- Education: Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program is required.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of dermatology experience required, with a focus on medical dermatology and in-office procedures.
- Licensure: Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the state of North Carolina is required.
- Certification: National certification required, with dermatology-focused certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of dermatologic conditions, skin cancer identification, and treatment protocols is required.
- Technical
Skills:
Proficiency in EMR systems is required, with familiarity in dermatoscopy and dermatologic procedures preferred. - Skills & Attributes: Demonstrates strong diagnostic reasoning, communication skills, and the ability to provide patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.
