Ambulatory Care Nurse (RN) - OB-GYN

Wake Med Physician Practices is seeking an experienced Ambulatory Care Nurse (RN) to join our growing OB-GYN team at Wake Med Medical Park of Cary. The ideal candidate will have previous nursing experience in an outpatient OB-GYN or women's health practice, with a strong clinical background caring for patients throughout the continuum of women's healthcare, including routine gynecologic care, prenatal care, and postpartum support.

The Ambulatory Care Nurse (ACN) plays a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care by coordinating and managing the healthcare needs of our OB-GYN patient population. Working closely with providers and the interdisciplinary care team, the ACN serves as a clinical resource, patient advocate, and care coordinator, ensuring patients receive timely, compassionate, and effective care throughout their healthcare journey.

• Provide nursing care management and clinical support for OB-GYN patients in an ambulatory setting.
• Triage patient concerns, assess symptoms, and provide evidence-based nursing guidance via phone, patient portal, and in-person encounters.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and care team members to develop, coordinate, and implement individualized plans of care.
• Identify high-risk patients and proactively coordinate appropriate care, follow-up, referrals, and community resources.
• Educate patients and families regarding pregnancy, gynecologic conditions, treatment plans, medications, and preventive health measures.
• Serve as a communication liaison between patients, families, providers, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Promote continuity of care and support patients in achieving optimal health outcomes within the outpatient setting.
• Maintain accurate documentation and support quality, safety, and patient experience initiatives.

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in North Carolina.
• Previous experience working as a nurse in an outpatient OB-GYN, women's health, maternal-fetal medicine, reproductive health, or related ambulatory practice strongly preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, patient education, and care coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced ambulatory environment while providing exceptional patient service.
